Li Zijian's explaination on his work of 'Imagination Village':
Every creation has its own background. Every thing you do will be influenced by the history,
more or less.
Two source behind the design:
01.realized the power of narrative form for the first time

House in Leymen (1996-1997) Architect:Herzog& de Meuron
02.the loose connections between buildings are poetic. Try to re-consider it in vertical direction.

Tomihiro Museum ( 2002) Architect: Ryue Nishizawa
All these methods are good, but still needed to figure out where to use it and how to use it; the competition entry is a result of such effort.
About presentation:
A ¡®naive¡¯ presentation is needed to create the ¡®primitive¡¯ atmosphere; the paper-cut figure is used.
In the later picture, such ¡®child-like¡¯ quality is not necessary, use the people image we ¡®meet¡¯ so often in renderings. As far as I know, such ¡®child-like¡¯ presentation is originated from SANAA, and then you can find in many drawings by Japanese architect, below are some examples, including the very popular one now on web. Maybe such presentation method is so attractive that it becomes a trend.

Thank you to all participants. We received a large number of answers and propositions, all of a very high standard, both from China and foreign countries. The Jury worked April 3rd all day to select anonymous works. It was obvious for Jury members to select about thirty candidates after three rounds of selection, and then to take their decision on the 7 winners.
Thinking Hands office staff will contact personally each of the winners and will keep in touch with them.
Boloni and Thinking Hands may stay in contact with some candidates in a case of a future collaboration, but no project will be used without an official agreement between the two parties.
We invite all creative teams/individuals worldwide to design a 50m2, 10m high, 500m3 space. It should provide external open space, guarantee a flexible workspace, and a private living environment.
